You must establish any side effects of medication which may impact on your ability to work safely and notify your Supervisor. You must not attend work while taking medication which may impact on your ability to work safely. All hazards to health and safety are identified, the risks assessed and where they cannot be eliminated they are effectively controlled. Measures to control hazards and risks to health and safety are regularly monitored and evaluated. Health and Safety Objectives* I acknowledge that I have read this page and agree to the content* INCIDENTS, INJURIES AND NEAR MISSES An Incident is an unplanned event which causes or could have caused injury, and/or damage to property and/or equipment. Incidents range from near-miss incidents to serious accidents and emergencies. If you are involved in or witness an incident you must: Notify the site supervisor immediately. Any workplace injury must be reported to the site supervisor. You must also report all Incidents to Spectra. The site supervisor or HSE Advisor will assist you to complete an Incident or Injury Report and provide relevant details of the occurrence. All hazards and incidents, including near misses, must be reported even if they don’t result in an injury or damage. Manual handling examples could be: Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Carrying, Sliding, Wheeling, Slinging/Rigging, Loading, Stacking, Holding. Manual handling control measures Split the load if possible or use 2 man lifts Use mechanical aids Assess the weight, shape, freedom to move, centre of gravity, hand holds Use leverage where possible Get close with feet apart Secure grip (gloves?) Bend knees, keep back upright Never twist your back – do a 3 point turn Move smoothly – don’t jerk Take care when putting down loads Manual Handling* I acknowledge that I have read this page and agree to the content* WORKING AT HEIGHTS While Working at Heights, 100 percent hook up must be maintained at all times. All workers completing WAH must have a valid Working at Heights tickets completed within the last 2 years. All Harnesses must be inspected prior to use. All vehicle, plant and equipment is to be kept in a clean and serviceable condition.. All plant and equipment is to be inspected daily prior to use. Pre-start sheets to be completed daily.
