OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

"Spectra is committed to providing and maintaining a healthy and injury free environment for all employees, subcontractors, visitors and the community."

To achieve this goal, Spectra will fulfil the following objectives:

  • Provide and maintain a Safety Management System in compliance to all relevant legislative requirements.
  • Ensure all personnel are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities and accountabilities.
  • Provide and maintain safe plant and facilities.
  • Ensure hazards to health and safety are identified, risk assessed and effectively controlled.
  • Provide appropriate information, instruction, training and supervision necessary to ensure that personnel are safe from injury and risks to health, whilst at work and that appropriate resources (internal or external) can be allocated as required.
  • Ensure personnel and their representatives are consulted on matters that may affect their health and safety.
  • Ensure incidents and accidents are reported, investigated, and followed up to prevent recurrence.
  • Recognise good safety performance.
  • Ensure all subcontractors comply with Spectra HSE requirements.

Spectra believes that the effective management of health and safety is a shared responsibility between all personnel at all organisational levels and takes priority over all other operational considerations.

This policy statement shall be implemented in conjunction with other policies, be prominently displayed at all company worksites and is endorsed by myself as the authorised representative of Spectra.
